Showroom
Our Skipton showroom is open weekdays 9am until 5pm and by appointment on weekends.
Heljan's excellent GWR 61XX Large Prairie appears here in excellent condition as no. 6111. The engine was built in 1931 and based at Old Oak Common to work London commuter trains out of London Paddington. It survived until 1965, when it was withdrawn from Didcot Shed and later scrapped.
Professionally weathered by Faye Moore, the model portrays the loco in its 1963 condition, when it ran 'The Chiltern 200' Railtour organised by the Railway Enthusiasts' Club.
