A truly remarkable O gauge model of a truly remarkable class of French electric locomotives. Produced to new modern design standards and methods in the early 1950's the 7100 class were to revolutionise long-distance travel in France on trains such as the 'Sud-Express' and the 'Mistral'. Achieving then unprecedented speeds class member No.CC7107 was to hit a record 334 KPH in March 1955. Lemaco's model features stunning brass construction and no attention to detail is spared. With stainless steel rims giving excellent friction and traction, the bogies are replicated down to the smallest detail. Perfect driving behaviour is achieved through free-wheeling single-axle drive from the six precision Canon EN22 motors, with current collection on all axles or via the pantograph. The bodywork is highly detailed throughout.
