William Stanier's 'go anywhere, do anything' Black 5s were the LMS and Midland regions mixed traffic motive power of choice covering all corners of Britain's railway network. This example No. 45018 was constructed at Crewe Works in 1935, and was allocated firstly to Scotland until 1952. Spending the rest of its working life between the North West and Carlisle, the locomotive was eventually withdrawn and later scrapped from Carlisle Kingmoor in 1966.
Featuring all-brass construction and excellent detail, this example has been wonderfully decorated and lined and is in excellent condition with a lovely weathered finish.

Model in excellent overall condition with the odd small minor scratch to its weathering. One front footstep also has evidence of a past repair and one tender/cab step has a small chip to it. There is also some scratches/rubbing to the models lining on the tender and running plate |
