One of the great things about dealing in pre-owned model trains is that you never know what’s going to turn up next. You’d think we’d become immune to their charms, but we’re a soft-hearted bunch and suckers for any lovely thing on rails that comes our way.
This week we had our hearts stolen by an exquisite collection of professionally built Great Western coaches. They’re the type of models you appreciate more the closer you look. From beautifully finished interiors to intricate livery details, every angle reveals a new wonder. And while today’s mass-produced model trains are hugely impressive, there's something special about custom-built masterpieces from true craftsmen.

But we do feel for Evan. As our main man in the showroom during the week – and a big GWR fan – it’s a constant struggle for him to resist spending his entire salary on the wonderful things that pass through his hands. Conscious of ‘the needs of the many’, he battles through to make sure our latest O Gauge finds make it to the stage and into your homes. He’s sad to see them go – but at least he’ll eat!

True love is knowing when to let go...
Meanwhile, to complement our shrink ray, we’ve acquired a large-scale teleportation chamber, which we’re hoping will save us a fortune on postage and packing:

It doubles as a lightbox, which is a great tool for picturing ‘plus-size’ models that don’t fit on our layout. This is just as well, since a quick glance at our showroom sleeper bench reveals an impressive lineup of Gauge 1 and G Scale big ‘uns awaiting their turn in the limelight:

And let’s not forget the Clark Railworks crew, who are getting stuck into their latest truckload of OO Gauge arrivals – this particular one housing a treasure-trove for Diesel Hydraulic fans...

So there's a never a dull day as we eagerly wait to see what the postman...or Keith...or one of our many visitors will bring us. The only thing we know for sure is that the trains will keep on coming! And if you'd like to get better acqainted with them, head over to to our 'latest arrivals' for a closer look.
