Part of William Stanier 'go anywhere do anything' Black 5 class, No. 45023 was constructed in 1934 as part of the Vulcan Foundry batch of locomotives. Firstly based at Carlisle Kingmoor Shed, the locomotive ended its days at Dalry Road before being withdrawn and scrapped in 1963.
Featuring all-brass construction this Sancheng example is in excellent condition and features the later Ivatt forward top feed boiler.
