Constructed from a brass kit of unknown origin (possibly Connoisseur Models), this excellent example of Gresley's powerful 0-6-0 has been constructed and finished to a high standard and has received a wonderful weathered finish in-house courtesy of Neil Armitage.
Introduced from 1926 and with a 4P/5F power classification, Gresley's J39 engines proved themselves versatile performers throughout the region. No. 64967 was built in 1938 and was allocated to Ardsley, Bradford Hammerton Street and Doncaster before withdrawal and later scrapping in 1960.
